Biographical history
George Adam Scott, 1874-1963, was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. He taught school in Manitoba, and in 1903 moved to Davidson, Saskatchewan where he became active in politics. He was a member of the Saskatchewan Legislature for 20 years and then worked for 15 years as an inspector for the Saskatchewan tax department before retiring to Alberta. He resided in Bassano and Lethbridge until coming to Calgary, Alberta in 1958. He and his wife, Elta Mary, 1880-1960, had five children Jean (Belcher), Walter E., Claire (Elliott), John Wilfrid, and James McNeal.
