Biographical history
Frederick Marshall Kitchener, 1864-1929, joined the 10th Royal Grenadiers in Toronto and was dispatched to the North-West Territories to help quell the 1885 Riel Rebellion (North West Rebellion). He fought at Battleford, Fish Creek, Batoche and Cut Knife. He returned to Toronto until 1911 when he moved to Edmonton. He was a well-known artist, specializing in outdoor advertising. He had five children.
