Biographical history
Fredrick Earl Davies was born in Saskatoon, Sask. on September 10, 1908. He served with the Royal Canadian Engineers, 2nd Battalion, during WWII. He died in Calgary, Alberta on August 30, 1988.

The fonds consists of two photographs documenting the R.C.E.’s erection of two bailey bridges over the Ijssel River in Zutphen, Gelderland, in the Netherlands, in 1945; as well as material documenting Davies's death.
