Accession 60A/79.16 was donated to the Canadian Architectural Archives by Mrs. M. L. Hardy in January 1979. Mrs. Hardy's husband, Joe R. Hardy, was the nephew of Fred Wade.

One perspective drawing by Fred Wade of the old Colonel Walker School which served as the the Calgary Retraining Centre for a time after the first world war. Fred Wade took the course in carpentry at the Soldier's Retraining Centre in the Colonel Walker School in 1919.
