Biographical history
Fred Louis Russell was a newspaper reporter and photographer for the New York Sun and covered the 1885 Riel Rebellion (North West Rebellion) for that paper. He married Carrie Edith Hughes in 1885 and they lived in Lethbridge, Alberta from about 1887 to 1897. They had at least on child, Edna Winnifred, 1887-?.
