Biographical history
Fred Kidd, 1921-1997 grew up in Nordegg, Alberta, the son of Stuart Kidd and Robena McKelvie. He attended the University of Alberta and graduated in Mining Engineering in 1942. He later worked for Shell Oil Company and was Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Banff-Cochrane constituency from 1975 to 1979. He and his wife, Helen Winifred Brown, 1921-2016, had four children, Jo-Anne (Britton), Robin Ethel, Alan Andrew and John McKelvie.
