Franklin Lloyd Foster, 1945- was born in Lloydminster, Alberta and grew up on a farm nearby. He was educated at the University of Alberta and Queen's University and taught in various high schools and colleges in Alberta and Ontario. He was the author of John E. Brownlee : A Biography; Bordering on Greatness : A History of Lloydminister's First Century; and was editor of Trail of 1903.
