Biographical history
Ernest John Malthouse, 1888-1956, was born in Sussex, England and came to Canada in 1910. He served in First World War in the Canadian Army Service Corps and the 9th Field Ambulance in France. In early 1920 he and Mrs. Malthouse with their three children moved to Camp Lister, British Columbia, a new soldier settlement near Creston. About 1929 they returned to Calgary, Alberta.
