Biographical history
Ernest Henry Wilson, 1872-1965, was born in London, England and came to Canada after 1900 as comptroller of the Alberta Railway and Irrigation Company at Lethbridge, Alberta. From 1913 to 1920 he operated a financial services firm, Wilson and Skeith, in Lethbridge, then moved to Victoria, British Columbia as land agent for the Hudson's Bay Company (HBC). He retired in 1932. In 1908 he married Janet Duff, 1877-1974, and they had one son, Charles, 1913- .

These images were acquired from a Victoria antique shop about 1993 by Tom Williams, from whom Glenbow purchased them.

The fonds consists of photographs of Lethbridge, Stirling, Raymond and Cardston; irrigation and coal operations of the Alberta Railway and Irrigation Company; Knight Sugar Factory; and Wilson family trips to the United Kingdom.
