Biographical history
Ernest Austin Daggett, 1869-1936, was born in Grand Manan, New Brunswick and moved to Washington, USA in 1889. In 1892 he moved to Davisburg, Alberta and in 1898 married Alberta Grace Watt, ?-1957, also of New Brunswick. They moved to Okotoks where he managed the Lineham Lumber Company as well as operating a farm near Blackie. Later Ernest and Alberta operated the Biscoby ranch at Lineham. They had one daughter, Mary (Wild), 1904-1981. When the lumber company ceased operations in 1920 the Daggetts moved to Millarville.
