Biographical history
Ernest Anthony Kehr, 1911-1986, was an amateur photographer from Richmond Hill, New York, USA, who was interested in rodeos and native peoples and photographed both subjects extensively. He apparently travelled throughout North America and visited Calgary, Alberta fairly frequently, especially to visit the Calgary Stampede and Banff Indian Days. He photographed Stoneys at celebrations and in camp. Kehr was a very prominent philatelist and among other books wrote The Romance of Stamp Collecting / Ernest A. Kehr. -- New York : T.Y Crowell, 1947.
