Biographical history
Charles Eric Stuart, 1905-1965, was born in Calgary, Alberta, the son of Judge Charles A. Stuart and Beatrice Stuart. He was educated there and received a law degree from the University of Alberta. During his university years he worked for the Dominion Land Survey, irrigation surveys in the Milk River area, at a cement plant east of Edmonton and at Jasper Park Lodge. He was a solicitor for the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) from 1935 until his retirement. He and his wife, Marjorie, had two children Sandra, (Vaneldik) and Charles Alan.
