Scope and content

The fonds consists of a scrapbook of newspaper clippings and musical programs compiled by Eileen as a young girl (1934-1940), which includes programs and reviews of her own musical activities as well as those of her contemporaries: Mary Tierney, Noel Cook (later Noel Taylor), Mary Lesingham Shortt, Evelyne Pearson, Kathleen Tierney, Odette de Foras, and orchestra conductors Grigori Garbovitsky and Jascha Galperin. Many of the musical events were held at the Grand Theatre. The fonds also includes a folder of Evelyne Pearson's clippings, programs, letters and photos (1925-1937), which were also in the possession of Eileen Atkinson.
