        Nancy Edwards was a deaconess operating in St. Anthony, Fogo and Gander in Newfoundland after the Second World War. Her efforts included radio work, and she joined the Canadian Girls in Training organization and contributed to their public profile through broadcast and news media. When she was promoted to Assisant Director of Broadcasting, based in Toronto, she produced programming for the United Church that included programs like "Tell Us a Story", "When a Child Asks", and "Nancy Edwrds Reports." Her final program, "The Human Gamut," was received with considerable praise before she retired from her career and eventually the CGIT in 1980.

        originally from Gander, Newfoundland, was a secretary within the Canadian Girls in Training organization and occasionally conducted public affairs activitities on behalf of CGIT. She joined the organization in 1948 and retired in 1980.
