Biographical history
Earl Goodwin Cook, 1881-1966, was born in Woodburn, Ontario. He moved to Alberta in 1902 and homesteaded near Pincher Station. He farmed and ranched there for over sixty years. In 1905 he married Margaret Frances Willock, 1885-1966, and they had five children, Wilfred, Alma (Young), Gladys (Gordon), Bert and James. He sat in the Alberta Legislature as the United Farmers of Alberta (UFA) Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pincher Creek from 1921 to 1930. He was president of the Pincher Coop Association for 14 years and he retired in 1955.
