Biographical history

Edward P. Foster, 1896-1962, was born in Guelph, Ontario and educated at Carstairs, Alberta. He was a school teacher, Imperial Oil agent, and farmed at Three Hills. From 1935 to 1940 he sat in the Alberta Legislature as the Social Credit Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Didsbury constitutency. He never married.

The fonds consists of diaries (1927-1929, 1958-1959, 1959-1961), a composite photograph of the Social Credit government (1935), and a photograph of E.P. Foster (ca. 1950s).
