Biographical history
E. Mott Davis, 1918-1998, was educated as an archaeologist at Harvard, and worked from 1948 to 1955 at the University of Nebraska. He moved to the University of Texas at Austin and eventually became Professor Emeritus. In 1956, Davis assisted Marie Wormington in her fieldwork for the Archaeology Department of the Glenbow Foundation in Alberta. Most of his fieldwork dealt with Eastern Texas.
