Lawrence Robert Charles Drury-Lowe, 1883-1941, a Captain in the Scots Guards, was a member of a large, well-to-do military family from central England. He visited Alberta, Canada ca. 1911-1913. He married Beryl Evelyn King in 1917 and they had one daughter, Anne Beryl, 1925- , who married Sir Francis Salwey William Winnington, 1907-1993.
