Biographical history

Donald Leslie, 1894-[after 1980], was born in England and moved to Canada with his parents in 1906. He was educated in Cranbrook, British Columbia. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) for 52 years, beginning as a telegraph operator and rising to superintendent of traffic. He was based in Calgary, Alberta from 1911 to 1946, was superintendent of the Atlantic area from 1946 to 1952, then returned to Calgary. He retired in 1959. In 1927 he married Christine Hunter of Winnipeg and they had one daughter, Judith (Norget).
