Biographical history

Devon Blean, 1944- , was born in Washington State, USA and educated in Richmond Beach and Seattle. She moved to Calgary, Alberta and became active in the Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association. She conducted an oral history project with community elders in the 1980s which was used as background research for Tom Campbell's Hill Natural Area. - Calgary : Calgary Parks / Recreation Department, 1989 and Community with a View : A Heritage tour of Bridgeland-Riverside / Kim Paulley. -- Calgary : Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association, 1992. She established a local group called Watchdog, and was involved in Garden Tours in the community. In 2008 she retired to British Columbia.
