        History

Davidson Enman Lumber Ltd., a retail lumber yard which caters to the general contractor trade, was founded in 1947 in Lethbridge, Alberta when Ray Davidson and Bill Enman purchased the Stacey Lumber Company. The company expanded to Calgary in 1951, opening a yard on Macleod Trail. They gave up the Lethbridge yard in 1953 but soon acquired another, which operated until 1960, when Enman left the business. The Calgary yard was moved to 452-42nd Avenue SE in 1959, and Davidson became sole owner the following year.
