Biographical history

C. Barton Browne, 1879-1979, was born in England, and came to Canada in 1903. He resided in Medicine Hat from 1912 until his death. For over forty years he ran C.B. Browne and Company, Manufacturing Chemists, which produced pharmaceutical products such as Koldine Cold Medication and Browne's Dandruff Remover and Scalp Treatment. He was an alderman from 1923 to 1925.
