Thomas Jonathan Cuffling, 1896-1983, and his brother, Henry Deakin "Harry" Cuffling, 1899-1987, were born in the Millarville area. Their parents, Jonathan, ?-1901, and Margaret Cuffling came to the area in 1888 from England. Tom and his mother operated a farm on the Merrick ranch until 1955, although he also worked for local oil companies. Harry worked on various local ranches until 1924 when he began working at the Royalite plant. He worked for various oil companies for 27 years.
