Historia
Constance Cross, 1875-1955, was born in Bakewell, England and received her education at home. Her family were financially secure and she travelled extensively around the world throughout her life. In 1911 she came to the Bradfield Ranch, near Priddis, Alberta where she worked as a cook and housekeeper. In 1912 she returned to England due to the death of her father and she remained there until 1920. She then came to the Columbia River valley in British Columbia, and worked on farms in the Radium and Golden districts for six months. She never married.
