Biographical history
Coral Lydia Strang, 1911-2002, was born in Floweree, Montana, USA and moved with her family to the Claresholm district of Alberta in 1919. She graduated from Calgary Normal School about 1929 and taught on remote southwestern Alberta ranches for two years, then at the Granum Hutterite Colony. In March 1937 she married Alfred Cecil Etherington and they farmed near Claresholm. Coral resumed her work at the Springpoint and Macmillan Hutterite Colonies from about 1966 to1972. Coral and her husband had one daughter, Mary (White), 1938- .
