History
Leigh Constable, 1904-1975, was born in Prince Edward Island. He first came west on harvest excursions in the 1920s. Later he moved to Calgary, Alberta and then worked in Turner Valley. He married Jennie Yost in 1935. Leigh worked for Valley Pipeline but also bought a farm west of Kew. The Constables were transferred to Calgary in 1945. He later worked for Imperial Oil at Redwater, Regina and Calgary, retiring in 1963.
