      Joseph Pearson Clemmitt, 1902- , was born at St. Martin-in-Field, England. In 1930 he moved to Canada and worked for Parrish grain for two years. He joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in 1932 and served at Prince Albert and Saskatoon in Saskatchewan, and in the Yukon. He retired in 1952 to Surrey, British Columbia where he worked for the school board.
