Biographical history
Clayton Willson, [ca. 1886-1964], was born in Kitchener, Ontario and in 1889 moved with his family to Michigan, USA. In 1898 they settled at Chigwell, near Lacombe, Alberta. As a teenager Clayton worked on Kootenay Lake in British Columbia, then trained as a Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) engineer. He lived for the remainder of his life in Calgary, Alberta, retiring about 1951. He married Nellie Goodwin, 1893-1979, of Canmore and they had two children.
