Biographical history

Chris Kirkman was a teacher who home-schooled Desmond and Clive Deane-Freeman of the High River, Alberta district in the 1920s. A good deal of her time was spent at the Chinook Ranch, owned by Walter Hanson, a relative of the Deane-Freeman family.
