Mona Thornton, 1913-2004, replaced him in 1953, and conducted the choir for nine years. Douglas Parnham led the group for one year, and in the fall of 1963 Marilyn Perkins became the group's final conductor. The Choral Belles sang for a wide variety of musical events, including church and school concerts, conventions, banquets and radio broadcasts. Throughout its existence the choir had approximately 25 singers. It disbanded in the early 1970s.
