        Llewellyn Owen "Llew" Chambers, 1886-1972, was born on the Island of Anglesey, Wales and moved to England in 1895. He came to Canada in 1912 to a ranch east of Balzac, Alberta. His major occupation throughout his life was breeding and training horses (including polo ponies) and he was active as a judge of horse shows. In 1946 he settled in the Glenmore area of Calgary. His wife's name was Patricia.
