[Handwritten on back in ink]: Dear Mom + Dad: Arrived here 6PM. Cabin O.K. trouble with fire last night but OK today. Found the secret of it. Sun out now & clearing up nice. More snow here but melting. Made bacon & eggs breakfast, then went for walk. Just had lunch, going out again. Bed comfortable & we're very close to town. Will write later. Love [illegible].
