Biographical history
Carrol Jaques, was educated at the Universities of Alberta and Calgary and was a school teacher in both Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta. She earned her MA at the University of Calgary for a thesis on the history of the United Farmers of Alberta. She is active with the Liberal Party and has run for provincial office several times. She was commissioned to write Unifarm : A Story of Conflict and Change / Carrol Jaques. -- Calgary : University of Calgary Press, 2001.

The fonds consists of interviews conducted by Jaques for her history of Unifarm. Interviewees were: Elmer Allen, Paul Babey, Bill Ballantyne, Allan Beattie, Stan Bell, Sten Berg, Gordon Blanchard, Margaret Blanchaqrd, Walter Boras, harvey Brooks, Des Carney, Shirley Dyck, Katherine Gibbings, Harry Gordon, Roy Halen, Murray Hawkins, Jack Howard, Frank Jacobs, Roy Jensen, Ralph Jespersen, Louise Johnston, Wayne Lamble, Ron Leonhardt, Bill Loov, Allan Macpherson, Joe Marshall, John Melicher, Gordon Moulton, Hartmann Nagel, Eileen Nagel, Tom Hahirniak, Mike Nikolaychuk, Bud Olson, Connie Osterman, Dick Page, Gerald Parlby, Alf Petersen, Charlie Plank, Vera Rude, Gerald Schuler, Richard Stringham, Ric Swihart, Tom Thurber, Rick Ure, Willow Webb and Ivan Weleschuk. The fonds also includes her research materials for the book; and records of her involvement with the Liberal Party.
