        History

        The Camrose Library Board was organized on November 19, 1919 and a temporary library board elected. The Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire and Women's Institute contributed towards a librarian's salary. The town council contributed the use of a small office building. On November 29, 1919 a tea was held by the IODE to raise funds for the library.
