        History

        The Calgary Jaycettes, a women's organization, was established in Calgary, Alberta in June 1945 with the objects of assisting the Jaycees, a men's service group; developing the skills and potential of members; providing social activities for members; amd helping with community projects. One of the major activities during the 1980s was the Buckle-Up-Babe campaign relating to child safety. Tracey Jones, a Calgary Jaycette, served as National President, 1991-1992. The local organization folded in 1993.
