        History

        The Pioneer Baseball League franchise in Calgary, Alberta was sponsored by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1977 and was called the Calgary Cardinals Baseball Club. Russ A. Parker was president of the club. Sponsorship was taken over by the Montreal Expos in 1978 and the club's name changed to the Calgary Expos Baseball Club. In 1984 the team folded when Parker bought the Calgary Cannons franchise.
