History
On June 20, 1912 representatives of several Calgary cricket clubs met and established the Calgary and District Cricket League. Early clubs which belonged to the league included St. John's, Inglewood, Civics, Pryce-Jones, Hillhurst, and the Calgary Cricket Club. The league's objectives are to promote amateur cricket, to enforce proper conduct, and to acquire and maintain cricket pitches and buildings. It is affiliated with the Alberta Cricket Association and its clubhouse is in Riley Park, Calgary. The name is currently the Calgary Cricket League.
