        History

The Calgary Boosterettes were established in 1954 as a group of volunteers dedicated to the development of amateur sport in the city. They were closely allied to the Calgary Booster Club. The group undertook many fundraising activities to contribute to local athletics. They funded a trophy for female high school athletes, rode in the Calgary Stampede Parade, held fashion shows, and sponsored Stampede Queen contestants. The group disbanded about 1967.
