      Francis Lowden Burnet, 1890-1982, was born in Cobourg, Ontario and attended Queen's University and the University of Chicago. He came to Alberta in 1915 and articled as a law student with Alec. A. Ballachey of High River. Burnet was admitted to the Alberta bar in 1916. He moved to Calgary in 1927 and specialized in petroleum law. In the 1930s he was active with the Calgary Bar Association. He and his wife, Kathleen Elma Christe, ?-1952, had one daughter, Kathleen Joan (Boyd). For further information see Janice Dickin McGinnis' article, "Frank L.
