Biographical history
Eneas Albert "Bert" Toshach was born near Almonte, Ontario. In the 1890s his family moved to Toronto, and in 1912 he came to Calgary. He opened a department store in Drumheller, Alberta in 1914 and operated it until his death. He married Myrtle McGill, 1887-1981, in 1915 and they had three children, Phyllis (Haase), 1916- , Sheila, 1921-?, and Eneas Albert "Tosh", Jr., 1928-2001.

The fonds consists of photographs of the Drumheller area including coal mines (primarily the Rosedale mine), personalities, Toshach store, other Drumheller buildings, and local organizations. Includes Myrtle's papers about the history of the area and posters.
