        History

        Renzilla E. Smith, 1880-1953, was born in Picton, Ontario. From about 1909 to 1917 she was a traveller in the USA for the France-American Hygienic Company and perhaps other firms. Her family moved from Ontario to Calgary, Alberta ca. 1913. Some time before 1924 she married William Perry Aylesworth, 1873-1934, who worked variously as an artist, accountant, and decorator in the 1920s and early 1930s. Renzilla was the proprietor of The Picton, a boarding house in Calgary, ca. 1926-1930. Renzilla and Perry returned to her family in Ontario about 1935.
