Arthur W. Ansell was a surveyor and naturalist from England who emigrated to Canada in 1910. He settled in Garrick, Saskatchewan and then worked as a surveyor on the construction of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway from Jasper, Alberta to Fort George, British Columbia.
