Biographical history
Charles Arthur "Art" Frey, 1922-2011, was born in Edmonton, Alberta and worked for the Edmonton Bulletin newspaper. In 1942 Frey joined the Canadian Navy and served on the destoyer "Algonquin". After the war he re-joined the Edmonton Bulletin and married Elizabeth "Bette" Watt. In 1947 he began work with the Alberta Department of Labour, primarily in Medicine Hat. In 1964 he moved to the Federal Department of Labour in Winnipeg where his family lived until 1985. Frey retired to Kelowna, British Columbia. He was an active mason.
