Biographical history

Archie Blais emigrated with his parents from Springfield, Massachusetts to Gleichen, Alberta in 1918, and they farmed in the district. He married his wife Mary in 1929. They moved to Carseland, Alberta in 1946, and retired to Strathmore, Alberta in 1962. Archie was an amateur historian who accumulated a large collection of artifacts and archival materials.
