Biographical history
Annabelle H. Noble, 1899-1982, was born in Windsor Mills, Quebec. She moved with her family to Calgary, Alberta in 1903. She attended Central Collegiate Institute in 1914-1915, then transferred to Crescent Heights Collegiate, from which she graduated in 1918. She then went on to teach the high school class at Rimbey, Alberta, from February 1919 until 1923. She married Edmund George of the Rimbey district and died at Lacombe, Alberta.

The fonds consists of informal portraits of Annabelle George’s teachers at Central Collegiate Institute: Dr. James M. Hutchinson, Frank L. Woodman, William W. Scott, F. Louise Brecken, Elizabeth J. McPhail, Margaret B. Moore, and John S. Cameron; includes copies of letters of reference and a letter of acceptance for Annabelle’s teaching position in Rimbey; and two photos of Annabelle. Also includes photographs of several graduating classes.
