Biographical history
Alexander J. Currie, 1876-1961, was the son of John and Jane Currie, who migrated from Ulverton, Quebec to Davisburg, Alberta in 1886. He farmed for many years near De Winton, Alberta where he was a school trustee and district councillor. He and his wife, Jane Stark, ?-1936, had a daughter, Margaret (Cushon), ?-1965. In 1946 he moved to Okotoks and married Beatrice Quinton in 1948. They later retired to Calgary.
