Biographical history
Agnes E. Richards of Red Deer, Alberta, was a local historian who wrote and collected articles as early as 1959 about the history of the Red Deer area. She wrote historical articles for the Red Deer Advocate in the 1970s. She was married to James L. Richards.

The fonds consists of articles (1972-1973) and photographs (1912-1914) about the Alberta Ladies College; article (1971) and photograph (1940s) about Berkhamstead School; notes and articles about the first hospital, the east bridge, early farmers and the W.H. Rich family; transcript of St. Luke's Anglican Church marriage register for 1905 to 1917; and a history of Alberta crafts prepared by the Alberta Women's Institute (1967).
