History
Floyd Wood Yeats, 1919-2000, was born in Field, British Columbia and moved with his family to Calgary, Alberta in 1921. He started a career with the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1937 and worked until 1979. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) during the Second World War. He was a member of the Bow Valley Railroad Club, Canadian Pacific Pensioners, and the Calgary Group of the British Railway Modellers of North America. With the latter organization he published Canadian Pacific's Big Hill : A Hundred Years of Operation / by Floyd Yeats. -- Calgary : Calgary Group of the British Railway Modellers of North America, 1985. Throughout his life he took photographs of Canadian Pacific locomotives, rolling stock, events, etc and collected material related to CPR history. Yeats and his wife, Lorna Lenore Falls, 1918-1998, had two children Terry (Dickieson) and Trevor.
