Chinook Lodge No. 1106 of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen was established in Calgary, Alberta in 1956 to represent Canadian Pacific Railway (West) Yard and Yardmasters. It was an offshoot of Alberta Lodge No. 663. When the United Transportation Union was established in 1969 with the merger of four major railway unions in North America, Local 1884 was established to represent Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) yard workers in Calgary. The local was later merged into the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference.
