Biographical history
Canadian composer, pianist, violinist and teacher Sophie-Carmen Eckhardt-Gramatté, née Fridman, was born in Moscow on January 6, 1899. Moved to Canada in 1953 and became a naturalized citizen in 1958. Died in Stuttgart, Germany, on December 2, 1974.
